MOVED

June 7, 2009

I’ve finally moved!!

If you want to know where, leave an offline message on msn and I will let you know. Don’t worry, I think I know who reads my blog, and if you have this feeling I know you read my blog, and you are on friendly terms with me, I probably will tell you where my new blog is.

But before you make those requests, please know that, I do not wish to be linked. I believe my blog’s quite personal and it may not be good to be read by people I do not wish for them to read. If you are one of those who uses your own links on your blog to point to others’ blogs, make the exception for me, put me on your bookmarks :)

I look forward to you, my readers, to continue ‘reading’ me there.

I’m going to sue Word Press man! (well, almost)

I had this really nice wonderful LONG post, and it didn’t publish again!!
THIS IS IT!

There’s another really good one, but the guy didn’t put his shirt on, so I rate it as obscene and unglam, so he doesn’t deserve a spot here.

It was good but I must say it gets tiring after awhile..

Priscilla Ahn – Dream

April 27, 2009

I was a little girl alone in my little world who dreamed of a little home for me.
I played pretend between the trees, and fed my houseguests bark and leaves, and laughed in my pretty bed of green.

I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest swing.
I had a dream.

Long walks in the dark through woods grown behind the park, I asked God who I’m supposed to be.
The stars smiled down on me, God answered in silent reverie. I said a prayer and fell asleep.

I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest tree.
I had a dream.

Now I’m old and feeling grey. I don’t know what’s left to say about this life I’m willing to leave.
I lived it full and I lived it well, there’s many tales I’ve lived to tell. I’m ready now, I’m ready now, I’m ready now to fly from the highest wing.

I had a dream

Interview coming soon

April 22, 2009

Just so you people know, I have an interview at SMU, tomorrow morning, and by the time you are reading this, I would have been sleeping, up getting ready or even at the interview already. (which is 915am Singapore Time)

I have been preparing for it, and it’s more nerve wrecking than the previous time at infosys management because I do care about this course that I’m being interviewed for, Social Science.

And it has been nerve wrecking since 3 days ago when I know I’m going down for this interview. And believe me, I’ve asked for help from more people than I expected myself to and I hope this is it. more than enough.

I don’t feel prepared, but I’ve never felt prepared for anything. I hope to do well enough to impress.

The interview phase started at the beginning of this month, and to drag till so long and reached me, only now, could only mean trouble.

Pray for me, on the interview if you are reading this before 915am
Pray for me, on the results of the interview if you are reading this after 915am

Thanks!

Realistic

On the 200th post, I remind myself to be realistic.

Being Alone

April 13, 2009

I’ve forgotten the last time I’ve blogged about my day, because I always feel it’s a boring thing to do.
But I kinda enjoyed today.

I’ve got off early from camp because I had to do my platoon’s cohesion recee. Was looking around town for a restaurant that serves international buffet that will be economical and good. I wasn’t pleased with the one at DFS and so I took recommendations from Jeremy about the one at Raffles Hotel. Decided to walk from DFS (across Far East Plaza) all the way to Raffles Hotel, having only 2 “pit-stops”. One at Kinokuniya at Taka where I finally bought the book “The Year of Living Biblically: One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible” by A. J. Jacobs, a book which I wanted but I didn’t have time to (or had no motivation to) make my way to town to purchase.

Walked pass SMU hoping to bump into a few people, but bumped into none. (hopefully a story for another time)

Reached Raffles Hotel, considered that the place was too ‘atas’ to bring a bunch of ‘ah bengs’ to, and walked away. Took a train down to Clarke Quay and to Liang Court, the 2nd place suggested by Jeremy, and finally decided that the place would be good.

Hanged around at Central to window shop a little and finally, made my way home reading my latest buy.

BORING?! Well, reading that whole chunk above is, and I agree, it would have been a boring day to any other person.
But it was a day I really enjoyed, just being alone. Letting my mind run, not having to worry about entertaining others or allow others to ruin my thoughts. I think everyone needs time alone at certain points. And I believe it was good for me since that there are so much in my mind.

Have your ‘alone’ time. Being a social person might not be good all the time.

Running my heart

January 26, 2009

I’m enjoying my runs after every one of them. Last night, I thought I did a cumulative 5km jog at the Hillview Park Connector. The only reason I stopped was when I saw the distance indicator on the floor was 200m left but than it suddenly stopped and I couldn’t see where was the continuation. By the time I’ve decided to take my own route, my momentum was gone. But still, I’m LOVING IT!

And yes, I need to know if anybody will be interested in visiting my place on Friday, please do give me a reply so I can make arrangements. I don’t think I will provide dinner, just new year goodies for everyone. And I think I will make a deal with Jeremy to bring the whole rock band over or with Pow Wee to bring the whole Guitar Heroes over. And the rest, if you are not participating in the consoles, I will teach you a new card game. HAHA.. It will be from 7pm onwards, and than, we will go for supper after 10 or 11 because my parents sleep around that time =)

Do get back to me after you read this =)

‘Atas’ lifestyle

January 14, 2009

Last night, I fed my ‘Atas’ lifestyle by watching ‘Cinderella: The Musical’ at the Esplanade.

The show was nothing like the ones I’ve watched before. I believe they have a big say in being the stage play production of the year. Everything about it was good. They have a star studded cast, the most recognisable was Cinderella acted by Lea Salonga, who also acted in ‘Miss Saigon’.

Their stage props, backdrops and whatever there are in a scene, all of them probably cost more than what I will ever earn in my lifetime. I particularly, liked the pumpkin carriage, it looked straight out from the old Cinderella cartoon!! The scene when, ragged maid, Cinderella transformed into elegance was my personal favourite. That scene was indescribable! And with the use of magic and illusion, the play retained the magical feeling of the disney classic.

Every penny of the amount that I am going to spend (because I have yet to pay Joelyn) is worth it. And if you want to watch, DON’T WAIT!

I am looking forward to the holidays, 6 months in advance!
It’s quite exciting, really. I have so many plans and so many back up ones as well.

Japan (provided the group doesn’t fail again. Tabi did a recall back to how many years this group has failed. 4 YEARS!!)
Australia
Taiwan
US of A
Manchester (England)

More importantly and more meaningful, a mission trip to a place we have yet to decide on, with my BS group. =)
